Students are invited to share original songs, poems, posters, pictures and essays about My Rocky Mount during a city-wide competition throughout the months of April and May.

SHARE YOUR CREATIVE SIDE
Youth in grades 6-12 are invited to share poems, posters, pictures, and essays about My Rocky Mount during a city-wide competition throughout the months of April and May. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. Winning entries will be displayed in the Rocky Mount City Hall building, shared during upcoming community events, and displayed on the City’s website. Winning entries will highlight positive experiences in Rocky Mount’s neighborhoods, schools, history, local amenities, or future opportunities.

Activity: Radio Jingles about Community Development and Fair Housing
Date: April 6-April 26
Brief Description: Singers, rappers and all other talented artists are invited to submit a jingle, three minutes or less, now through April 26. Jingles should be clean and should focus on celebrating community development and National Fair Housing Month. Jingles should be submitted to Power 95.5’s afternoon host, D-Train, at dtrain@firstmedianc.com.
